Coastal Marine Construction was founded in 2014 by Richard Bennett, growing out of his earlier work as Boat Lift Doctor. What began as a two-person operation focused on boat lift repairs has evolved into a licensed and fully insured full-service marine construction company, now operating with three professional crews to meet growing client demand.
Today, the company designs, builds, and repairs docks, boat lifts, seawalls, boathouses, dune walkovers, bulkheads, and other custom marine structures. Every project is owner-led, with Richard personally visiting each property to review conditions, discuss goals, and set the plan from the start.
Each job is handled with a level of care and workmanship that comes from owners who are directly involved. Richard Bennett has more than 20 years of hands-on marine construction experience and is known locally as the “Boat Lift Doctor.” He also spent 29 years in public service with Flagler County Fire Rescue, retiring as a Battalion Chief—a background that informs his approach to planning, safety, and accountability.
Stacy Bennett holds the State of Florida Marine Construction license and manages licensing, compliance, and day-to-day operations.
